In the first two years, learning at SSD is organised into focused blocks,
each spanning approximately two to three months. Every block is structured around a real-world design challenge, allowing students to engage deeply with a curated set of courses at a time rather than doing everything at once.
What Each Block Includes:
each spanning approximately two to three months. Every block is structured around a real-world design challenge, allowing students to engage deeply with a curated set of courses at a time rather than doing everything at once.
What Each Block Includes:
- Objective or Theme
- Courses
- An Industry-Led Design Challenge
- Innovative Evaluation Methods
- Strategic Partnerships
Design challenges are chosen in response to pressing global and local concerns, encouraging students to apply what they learn to contexts designers actively work within today. Through this format, students continuously connect theory with practice, using course learnings to respond to real problems within a clearly defined focus and timeframe.
