Project in Practice

At the Somaiya School of Design, projects are shaped by engagement with the world beyond the classroom. Nazariya SIIF

At SSD, learning and impact extend into shared spaces of dialogue, celebration, and action. Somaiya Innovation & Impact Festival (SIIF) and Nazariya are flagship platforms that bring together design, innovation, and community. These platforms help create moments where ideas are experienced, questioned, and shared.

SIIF, organised by Riidl and the Somaiya School of Design, is a celebration of ideas, innovation, and collaboration. It brings together changemakers, students, corporates, and citizens to explore challenges, inspire action, and imagine more sustainable futures. Nazariya focuses on design, perspective, and community spirit. Through interactive installations, city walks, film screenings, workshops, and performances, it invites design students to engage deeply with society, challenge norms, and explore how creative practice exists.

Together, these platforms act as moments of culmination and reflection, where learning meets expression, and design is experienced as a way of participating in the world.
